Face

Represents what we show the world. Outward appearance; someone’s identity; a person’s countenance, expression; to acknowledge and accept or deal with.

Factory

Originally a place where traders did their business in another country, based on Latin factorium, "an oil press" (for olive oil – the anointing); manufacture (negative - To create, produce, or turn out in a mechanical manner; to concoct or invent; fabricate; process- progress (neg. or pos.); the source for prolific (Producing offspring or fruit in great abundance; fertile; producing constant or successful results, highly productive) productivity; works (either of the flesh or the Spirit).

Fainting

Fear. Can’t cope. Blacking out.

Faith

Firm persuasion, trust, assurance, firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God’s revelation or truth. (Scriptures: Hebrews 11:1-2, 6, Romans 10:17, Ephesians 2:8-9).

Falling Stars

Apostates.

Falling/Endless Falling

Unstable; prideful. Endless Falling – no scriptural foundation of truth.

Famine

Lack of the Word of God; rejecting (not wanting to hear) the Word of God; poverty; judgment. (Scripture: Amos 8:11).

Famous Person

Jesus Christ. Negative: The world’s glory – vain glory, hero (as in Hollywood personality); spirit of fame and ambition to be seen by man. If you have a dream with a famous person, look up their name, character, the kind of role they play/ed, etc.

Farm

Fruitfulness; the garden; harvest – Evangelical ministry; kingdom of heaven; God’s kingdom; cultivator; grower. Negative: The world; works of the flesh.

Farmer

One who operates and manages a farm; Spiritual leader; God the Father; Christ (sower); preacher; evangelist; minister; the believer; laborer; worker (positive & negative).

Fasting

Dying to self; humbling oneself before God; cutting off the flesh; empowering; hungering for Christ; denying the flesh to sensitize the Spirit; literal fast.

Fat

The best part of the offering which belonged to God; the anointing; Fertile or productive; rich; having an abundance; prosperous, plenty. Negative: obese, overweight; fleshly.

Idiom:
• "Chew the fat" - to argue over a point; to talk idly; gossip.

Father

God the Father, Jesus Christ, Apostolic ministry – Father ministry; train, discipline, disciple, correct, govern, provider, leader, guidance, headship – where Jesus and the Father rule your thoughts; progenitor; chief. Negative: familiar spirit of iniquities – character traits.

Fatigue

Resistance, boredom. Lack of love for what one does.

Fear

Positive: Extreme reverence or awe, as toward a supreme power, Jesus Christ and God the Father. Negative: Living in a feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger; a fear of looking foolish; to be afraid or frightened of; to be uneasy or apprehensive about; to feel fear within (oneself); terror; panic; alarm; dismay; consternation; calamity, disaster; torment; insecurity; an emotional experience in anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight); unpleasant emotion; fearful expectation or anticipation (i.e., What if this or what if that happens…? “What if?” – projections, prognostication, divination (which is witchcraft – a foretelling of future events) and does not come from trust and faith in God!); express with regret; troubled, etc. (Phobias, paranoia; panic, all come from names of Greek gods such as Medusa, Pan, and Phobia – these Greek gods are demonic spirits personified in idol worship).

God has not given us a SPIRIT of FEAR, but of power, of love and a sound (disciplined) mind! Perfect love casts out fear! (Scriptures: Isaiah 11:2, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18).

Month of Februa; Februa is the Roman festival of purification, held on February fifteenth.

Feces (See Diarrhea)

Dung, toxic waste; dead works of the flesh; of things worthless and detestable (Philippians 3:8).

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

Arm of the Department of Justice; a group of government agencies and organizations that carry out intelligence activities for the United States Government, headed by the Director of Central Intelligence; insuring obedience to the laws; the collection of rules imposed by authority.

Feet

Our walk in God; foundation. When something is put under your feet, it denotes that you have authority over it. It is subject to you (Joshua 10:24; Romans 16:20). We are to shod our feet with the “preparation of the gospel of peace” – denoting preparation in the Word of God to be a messenger of the good news (Ephesians 6:15). Represent our understanding – of ourselves, of life, of others. Also represents our walk, movement in Christ.

Fence

Protection, boundary, security, trust; barrier; fortified; defense or defensive (good or bad). Negative: Blocked (fenced in); compromise (on the fence).

Fertilizer

Word of God; words of encouragement; edification; praying in the Spirit; prophecy; love; five-fold ministry gift; preparing for fruit.

Fever

Anger. Burning up.

Fibroid Tumors

Nursing a hurt from a partner. A blow to the feminine ego.

Field

‘Field’ is from the Hebrew word SADEH indicating that which is unenclosed: woodland, desert, spread out, flat land, wild farmland, or wilderness. Field represents the world. Field speaks of the domain where Satan lives and has his being in the man of dust- the first Adam, the mind of humanity, the carnal nature that is uncultivated, unprotected, undisciplined, unbridled, unattended, unplowed, unprocessed, unbroken areas where the serpent whispers out of the dust realm of our humanity – fleshly nature. (Scriptures: Genesis 3:14, Matthew 13:38).

Fig leaves

"F" for fear, "I" for insecurities, and "G" for guilt; fig leaves represent self-justification as opposed to being justified by faith in the blood of Lamb. Cover up with physical coverings.

Fig Tree

Symbol of Spiritual Israel, the church; fruitfulness.

Filing Tabs

Separating, identifying and organizing to facilitate in teaching the Word of God more effectively. Facilitate – To make easy or easier; to assist the progress of; to make easier or less difficult; help forward to assist the progress of (a person).

Fingernail

Claw, talon, covering for finger. Represent protection. – Nail Biting: Frustration. Eating away at the self. Spite of a parent.

Fingers

Represent the details of life. Thumb: Represents intellect and worry. Index: Represents ego and fear. Middle: Represents anger and sexuality. Ring: Represents unions and grief. Little: Represents the family and pretending.

Fingers and thumb are symbolic of the hand of God, working together as one. They are represented by the gifts that Jesus Christ gave to His church, namely the Five-fold ministry of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for the equipping of His saints, the church (Ephesians 4:11).

Apostles - the thumb represents the Apostle. One who is sent as a messenger, ordained not by man but by God, chosen from the foundation of the world. The apostle lays foundational truths, establishes new works with specific authority and spiritual direction to establish and build God’s church in Spirit and in Truth (Ephesians 2:20, 3:1-10, Acts 2:42).

Prophets – the index finger represents the Prophet because he points the way. A seer, God’s mouthpiece, he speaks of events of the future, gives specific directions and also is corrective. The prophet hears what God is saying to declare to the earth; that God’s will would be established in His people, to bring revelation, confirmation, exhortation, comfort and direction (2 Peter 1:21, Revelation 1:1, Acts 11:27-30, 15:32, 21:10, Ephesians 4:11-16).

Evangelists – the middle finger represents the Evangelist, because he goes the longest distance. One who declares and brings the good news, a preacher of the Gospel, he is also known as an edifier and exhorter. They preach with fervency to reach the lost and to bring healing and deliverance to those who are bound and in captivity (Acts 6:5, 21:8, 2 Timothy 4:5, Acts 8:4, 12, 35, 40).

Pastors – the ring finger represents the Pastor because that finger is associated with love, covering, and the heart given to the shepherd who loves the flock in Spirit and in Truth, to disciple and train them to grow up into full maturity. They are also known as Bishops or Elders (Acts 20:17-28, 1 Peter 5:1-2, 1 Timothy 3:1-7).

Teachers – the small finger represents the Teacher. The teacher builds upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets in order to establish the saints and bring them into maturity. He teaches with anointing and authority and demonstrates what he teaches. He instructs and disciples His people, by the wisdom and knowledge of God, in the accuracy of His Word (1 Corinthians 12:28, 2 Timothy 2:2, Matthew 5:19, 1 Corinthians 2:6-14, James 3:1).

To identify or designate as being responsible; touch or handle.

Idioms:
• "Lay a finger on" - To locate; find.
• "Put (one's) finger on" - To remember; recall, to deal with issue.
• "Twist/wrap around (one's) little finger" - To dominate utterly and effortlessly.

Fire

God is an all-consuming fire; Presence of God; cleansing, purifying; God’s Word; trials; judgment; Negative: Strife; affliction; tongue, gossip; passion; lust and adultery. (Scriptures: Deuteronomy 4:24, Hebrews 12:29, James 3:6, 1 Peter 4:12-13, Proverbs 6:26, Jeremiah 5:14, 23:29).

Fire Engine

Rescuer or deliverer. A vehicle equipped for firefighting (Five-fold ministry - Ephesians 4:11). Negative: Someone (legalism) putting out (quenching the Holy Spirit) the fire of God. (Scriptures: Jude 1:23, 1 Thessalonians 5:19).

Fireman

Holy Spirit; employed to extinguish or prevent fires; firefighter; rescuer; defender; guardian; protector; shield.

Fireplace

We need to keep the fire (passion for Christ) burning; stir up the ambers; Hearth - symbol of the home or heart (where or what you dwell on). Is a fire of passion burning in your heart for Christ? A place of refinement, Black Smith’s shop where the metal is being forged (formed) in the hearth. (Scripture: Malachi 3:2-3).

First Fruit

Bearer of fruit of Spirit first at the beginning; End time harvest coming into maturity first; First fruit being judged first so they will be qualified to judge; to be first (in political rank or power) and to offer firstlings or first-fruits; used of persons consecrated to God, leading the rest in time (I Cor. 16:15) ; used of persons superior in excellence to others of the same class; who have the first-fruits (of future blessings) in the Spirit. (Scriptures: Romans 8:23, 1 Corinthians 15:23, Ephesians 1:14, James 1:18, Revelation, 14:3-4, 22:1-2, Hebrews 6:19-20).

Fish

Souls of men; dag, implying increase or fecundity [the quality of power producing abundantly, fruitfulness or fertility. Productive or creative power] Fish represent lost humanity. The fish is also used to represent Christ and Christ’s disciples. Jesus Christ, the master Fisherman instructed His disciples, ‘Follow [come behind’] Me, and I will make you fishers of men’ (Matthew 4:19; compare Mark 1:17). He is the last Adam, The One with the true dominion over ‘the fish of the sea’ (Genesis 1:26-28). Jesus likened His death, burial, and resurrection to the story of Jonah and the fish (John 1:17, 2:10, Matthew 12:39-41). In this great day of restoration, the Lord Himself is sending for ‘many fishers’ (evangelists) to fish the nations of the earth (Jerimiah 16:16). The prophet Ezekiel foresaw the present outpouring of the Holy Spirit as God’s river and described this great end-time catch as ‘a great multitude of fish…exceeding many’ (Ezekiel 47:9-10,, John 7:38. The Greek word for fish, ichthus, is an acrostic for ‘Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.’

Fishing

Evangelism; soul-winning; witnessing; investigating. Negative: occupation or diversion (Something that distracts the mind and relaxes or entertains.) of catching fish; trying to get something in an indirect way (as in fishing for compliments).

Fist

Retribution; pending judgment; violence; grasping (holding on).

Flag

Surrender (white flag – also means righteousness); of distinctive color and design (look up color and design meaning), used as a symbol, standard, signal, or emblem. A sign; identification or ornamentation. Flags were used to identify the tribes in the wilderness. One of God’s names: Jehovah Nissi, “the Lord our Banner”. Christ’s banner (flag) over us is love. What do you identify with, Christ’s, or the world’s standard? (Scriptures: Exodus 17:15, Song of Solomon 2:4).

Flashlight

Torch, God’s Word (light unto your path); portable lamp; brings light to the darkness (illuminates, gives understanding).

Flax

Symbol of weakness of man.

Flee

Run away from situation or danger. Negative: fear; not dealing with an issue.

Flies

Evil spirits, impurities; filth of Satan’s kingdom; Beelzebub - “Lord of the flies”; live on dead things; occult; filth; Satan’s kingdom; annoyances. (Scriptures: Matthew 10:25, 12:24-27, 1 Samuel 2:8, Ezra 6:11, Psalm 113:7, Ecclesiastes 10:1).

Flood

To cover or submerge with water; inundate; Ungodly men; To overwhelm in large numbers; to pour forth; a great outpouring or overflow; surge; to be filled to overflowing. (Can be Negative or Positive depending on the context of the dream.) (Scriptures: Psalm 17:13-14, 18:4, 12-14, Job 38:22).

Florida

From the Spanish "Pascua Florida" meaning “feast of flowers,” (Passover – Resurrection Sunday) “land of flowers.”). Known as “The Sun Shine State.” Motto: “In God We Trust.” Capital: Tallahassee.

Flowers

Maturity, flowers bring forth fruit; ornaments in the Menorah of the Tabernacle and Temple of God; beauty; glory. Negative: passing glory of man. (Scriptures: Exodus 25:31; 1 Peter 1:24).

Flying

Freedom; rising up out of the flesh into the Spirit (breaking physical laws – soaring in the Spirit); not bound to the physical, natural realm, but moving in the supernatural realm of God where there is freedom without restraint or heaviness of spirit.

Fog

Obscure sight or understanding; something that conceals; a haze; a state of mental uncertainty, vagueness, confusion or bewilderment; a cloud of any substance in the atmosphere reducing visibility (vision in the Spirit for knowledge and understanding of God and what He desires, His will).

Food Poisoning

Allowing others to take control. Feeling defenseless.

Footpath

Narrow path or Course of life (good or evil); journey or passage (A progression and growth in Christ Jesus.).

Footstool
(See Foot)

Support for feet; delivery stool; sanctuary, temple. Posture of submitting to the throne (elevated position) of God. A lower position (earth) or function that rests, supports, submits to the exalted authority of God’s sovereign power and authority. A stool for feet: that which supports the feet of one when sitting. When we sit in His rest, in Him and we are totally subject to Him, everything is subordinate, subject to His authority and dominion, His rule, His power! (Scriptures: Psalm 8:6, Hebrews 2:8, Romans 16:20, 1 Corinthian 15:25-26, Isaiah 66:1).

Ford Mustang

“Pony Car”, considered a performance oriented or high-performance car.

Forehead

Thought, reasoning; memory, imagination; the mind. Either the mind of Christ, the spiritual man or the mind of the carnal man, anti-Christ spirit, that which opposes Christ. Mark of the beast (characteristics of the beastly nature of man) will be on the forehead (thoughts – carnal thinking, animalistic characteristics of man). (Romans 8:6-8, Revelation 13:16-18, Ephesians 4:18, Colossians 1:21, Proverb 23:7).

Foreign

Non-believer; strange, unfamiliar; not knowing a situation; alien in character; irrelevant or inappropriate.

Foreigner

Alien; Dissimilar, inconsistent, or opposed, as in nature; A person who is not included in a group; an outsider; A person from another and very different family, people, or place. By faith, Abraham lived as an alien in a foreign land. We are strangers and foreigner because our citizenship is in heaven. (Scriptures: Hebrews 11:9-10, 13-16, Philippians 3:20).

Forest (Woods)

Unfenced woodland; humanity, without restraint and unprotected; uncultivated; wilderness.

Forest Fire

Judgment; purifying and cleansing humanity (trees) with God’s fire; Fire to a forest brings regeneration, restoration. It burns up the dead vegetation and stimulates new growth. Symbolic of God destroying dead unregenerate humanity (trees) with His purifying fire to bring forth new growth in the character and nature of Christ. Negative: Gossip or rumor out of control. (Scripture: James3:6).

Fornication

Actual fornication; defilement; idolatry; having an affair with no commitment; Intercourse (dealings or communications between individuals – communing, talking, an unholy relationship); unfaithful in your relationship with God and Jesus Christ.

Fossil

Locked in the past; belonging to the past; something or someone that is outdated or antiquated – not relevant. Could also mean digging something up from the past.

Foundation

Rock Jesus Christ; Word of God; heart; beginning.

Fountain

Water fountain (the Word of God and His Spirit) with continuous flow of water found in public places; flow or move of the Holy Spirit; church ministry; Jesus, the Living Water; Eternal life. (Scriptures: John 7:37-39; John 4:14).

Fox

Cunning, evil men; sly, sneaky & crafty; something that steals from you. Bible –Herod was referred to as a fox.

Foyer

Entrance hall; vestibule; reception room, place of welcoming, greeting or arrival.

France

Land of the Franks. (The name Frank means "free one.")

Freezer

Preservation; preserving the Word of God in your heart for preparation in teaching and preaching the Word of God.

French Fries
(See Anointing)

French means, Frank (Frenchman), it means, honest, freeman, free, javelin. Fries means to fry in oil. Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit anointing for power to be a witness of God. We need the empowering of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses to speak the Word of God in boldness (to be frank, open, honest, direct in speech).

Friday

Venus (Aphrodite) - whose functions encompassed love, charm, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory. Symbols, rose and common myrtle.

Friend

Jesus; obedient disciple; someone with whom you are familiar.

Frigidity

Fear. Denial of pleasure. A belief that sex is bad. Insensitive partners. Fear of father.

Frog

Unclean spirits; demon; curse; witchcraft. These are spirits of lust and lasciviousness and a love of youth. They work with the serpentine and sexual love spirits. Many cultures believe that these spirits can produce fertility. Plague of Egypt. The Egyptians worshiped the frog, Heqet (frog headed goddess of lust, lasciviousness, adultery, and fornication). (Scriptures: Exodus 8:1-15, Psalm 78:45, 105:30, Revelation 16:13).

Front

Future or Now: (as in front yard or front porch) prophecy of future events; immediate; current.  (Scripture: Revelation 1:19, “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which (presently) are (before, or in front of you), and the things which shall be hereafter.”).

Fruit

The 'works' we produce. (Also, look under food category for meanings of different types of fruit) Character; Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self-control, faithfulness – Galatians 5:22-23). Negative: Rotten fruit – works of the flesh (Galatians 5:20-21).

Fruited Trees

Healing; also, can mean either the tree of life (the Word of God; the mind of the Spirit of life; mind of Jesus Christ) or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (tree of consciousness; tree of death; tree of man’s wisdom and knowledge; tree of the world systems of men).

Fudge

Nonsense, foolishness, to fake or falsify; to evade an issue, dodge or avoid. To act in an indecisive manner, to go beyond the proper limits of something. To talk foolishly or emptily.

Fuller

to tread; the fuller’s chief work was cleansing and whitening garments for festive and religious occasions. The white garment typifies Christ’s spotless righteousness put on the saints. Fullers soap (Malachi 3:2); the fuller’s field (2 Kings 18:17); the art of cleaning cloth and the various kinds of stuff among the Jews.

Fumigation (See Incense and Smoke)

To treat (something contaminated or infected) with fumes or smoke. To subject to smoke or fumes, usually in order to exterminate pests (those things that annoy or irritate us) or disinfect (To cleanse so as to destroy or prevent the growth of dis- ease-carrying microorganisms) disinfect, cleanse, purify, sterilize, sanitize, clean out.

Fungus

Stagnating beliefs. Refusing to release the past. Letting the past rule today.

Furnace

Place of refinement, purification, cleansing, judgment; affliction; torment; sever test or trial; a place where energy is converted into heat (fire and light); smelting and refinement to destroy the refuse, to produce transformation. (Scriptures: Zechariah 13:9, Daniel 3:1-30).

Furniture

Place of authority; functional items that equip a house or room; furnish, equip.
