Warts

Little expressions of hate. Belief in ugliness. Plantar Warts: Anger at the very basis of your understanding. Spreading frustration about the future.

Washing Machine

Automatic; cleansing; washing garments; cleansing and purifying your thoughts as a minister of God’s Word.

Washington

In honor of George Washington. Capital: Olympia.

Wasp/s

These spirits don’t take correction, rebuke, reproof or criticism in any form. They are extremely defensive and constantly try to explain and justify their actions. People with these spirits can become very dictatorial and controlling.

Stheino - goddess of wasps, she causes a buzzing in the ears; This spirit is very dictatorial and causes people to be very defensive to anything they consider criticism of them or anything they do or say. It will try to keep people in what it considers their place, tries to form a caste system always with themselves at the top of the chain of command.

Water

The Word of God; Jesus (The Living Water) and the Holy Spirit (out of your belly will flow rivers of living water); refreshing; life, sustaining force, spiritual life. Negative: bitter water; urine, piss; defiled waters. These all speak of toxic thoughts and words that flow out of our carnal nature. Stagnant waters – living in carnal thoughts that have no life. (Scriptures: John 4:10-14, 7:37-39, Isaiah 44:3, 58:11, Ezekiel 47:1-23, Revelation 22:1-2).

Idioms:
• "Under water" - being or holding an asset that is worth less than its purchase price or the debt owed on it. Not making enough money to meet financial obligations.
• "Water under the bridge" - a past occurrence, especially something unfortunate, that cannot be undone or rectified.
• "In deep water" - in great distress or difficulty.
• "Keep one's head above water" - to stay out of financial difficulties.
• "Make one's mouth water" - to excite a desire or appetite for something.

Waters

Two types of water: The rain of heaven – spiritual outpouring of God, or the urine (piss) of the lower water of the earthy and carnal, physical matters of the world; symbolic of many people “I heard the sound of many waters (multitude of people)”; come forth out of the waters of Judah Isa. 48:1; the waters exalt themselves Eze. 31:14; whore that sits upon many waters (sea - unregenerated humanity). (Scripture: Revelation 17:1, 15).

Weasel

Wicked; breaking promises (as in “weaseling out of a deal”); informant or tattletale; traitor, treacherous person.

Wednesday

Mercury (Hermes) - god of financial gain, commerce (merchants, merchandise, to trade), eloquence, messages, communication (including divination), travelers and transporters of goods, boundaries, luck, trickery and thieves; he also serves as the guide of souls to the underworld. Hermes was awarded a magic wand by Apollo, which later turned into the caduceus, the staff with intertwined snakes. Symbol – Caduceus (staff with intertwined snakes – the sign of a physician and pharma - medicine), winged sandals, winged hat, tortoise (lyre made from tortoise shell), ram (or goat – fertility) and rooster (herald of the new day).

Weight issues (Fat)

Oversensitivity. Often represents fear and shows a need for protection. Fear may be a cover for hidden anger and a resistance to forgive. Running away from feelings. Insecurity, self-rejection and seeking fulfillment. Arms: Anger at being denied love. Belly: Anger at being denied nourishment. Hips: Lumps of stubborn anger at the parents. Thighs: Packed childhood anger. Often rage at the father.

West

End (as in the end of the day); grace; death; last; symbol of evening; setting of the sun; end of the age. (Scriptures: Exodus 10:19, Luke 12:54, “And he said to the people, when you see a cloud (of glory) rise out of the west (grace of God), straightaway ye say, there comes a shower (blessing); and so it is.").

West Virginia

In honor of Elizabeth, “Virgin Queen” of England (Virgin mother Mary – Catholic influence). Capital: Charleston.

Whale

Big impact in the things of the Spirit, as believers are as fish, a big fish is seen as one of significance; going deep in the spirit; A very large mammal that lives in the sea. An impressive example: to strike or hit repeatedly and forcefully thrash, to attack vehemently.

White

Positive: purity; righteousness; holiness. Negative: self-righteous, religious spirit.

White Horse

Strength and power, salvation; rescue; redeem; royalty.

White Snake

Spirit of religion; occult.

Wilderness

A period of trying, testing and proving. Abraham went to Egypt; Isaac went to Abimelech, the Philistine; Jacob to Haran. Joseph had his wilderness experience being sold as a slave and then put in prison, before he was promoted to be a ruler over Egypt; Moses was in the wilderness for 40 yrs.; The Israelites wondered in the wilderness for 40 yrs.; David was in the wilderness strongholds when he ran from Saul; The apostle Paul went into the wilderness of Arabia (Galatians 1:17). Even our Lord was "driven of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of Satan...]."

Willow Tree

Symbol of Christ's weeping and heartbreak.

Wind

The Holy Spirit. Negative: winds of doctrines of men. (Scriptures: John 3:8, Ephesians 4:14).

Wine

Working of the Spirit of God; move of God. Negative: drunkenness; love of the world.

Wings

Protection; covering; flight; freedom, no constraints; healing. God's supernatural operations and protection; Deuteronomy 32:11, "hovers" is the same word as wings. Exodus 19:4-5 - bore you on eagle’s wings. God bore them on. Numbers 15:37, corners = wings. Tassels to represent covenant relationship with God. Extremity of the robe was the 'wings'. Malachi 4:1 & Luke 8:43-48 - Woman w/ issue of blood has only to touch the 'wings' to be healed. Ruth 2:12; - come to trust under the wings. Ruth 3:9 – cloak (wings) for protection. Ezekiel 16:8 - wings spread over to cover nakedness.

Idiom:
• "Wing it" - To improvise.
• "Give wing to" - To free from constraints or allow to operate freely.
• "On the wing" – flying; in flight.
• "Under one’s wing" - Under one's protection; in one's care.

Wisconsin

French corruption of an Indian word whose meaning is disputed. Capital: Madison.

Witness

Martyr; came to mean in Christian times one who attests the truth by suffering. To furnish or serve as evidence; to testify to the truth; to see or know by personal experience.

Wolf

Satan and evil; false ministries & false teachers; predator; A man who habitually makes aggressive sexual advances to women. A she-wolf is the symbol of the Ancient Roman Empire. It was said that a she-wolf nursed and sheltered the twins Romulus and Remus. Romulus was the founder and first king of the Roman Empire.

Wood (See Tree)

The work of men's hands; same word as trees; represents humanity. (Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 3:12, Deuteronomy 4:28, 2 Kings 19:18, Mark 8:24).

Wool

Symbol of warmth and comfort; works of the flesh, dead works, sweat.

Worm

Any of various invertebrates, having a long, flexible, rounded or flattened body, often without obvious appendages. An insidiously tormenting or devouring force. A person regarded as pitiable or contemptible. To work (one’s way or oneself) subtly or gradually, insinuate: She wormed her way into his confidence. To make one’s way by artful or devious means: The prophet Isaiah warned that the rebellious people of Israel would be afflicted with worms (Isaiah 51:8). He also predicted this fate Babylon (Isaiah 14:11). instrument of judgment; despised.

Wormwood

Turning back to sin; Something harsh or embittering, grievous, such as a painful experience. (Scriptures: Jeremiah 9:13-15, Deuteronomy 29:14-18, Revelation 8:10-11).

Wrist

Represents movement and ease.

Wyoming

From the Delaware Indian word, meaning “mountains and valleys alternating”; the same as the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania. Capital: Cheyenne.
